Tammy Abraham is expected to return to Roma‘s starting XI in the derby della Capitale, while Lazio star Ciro Immobile should go on the bench.

Kick off at the Stadio Olimpico comes at 17.00 GMT.

The Derby della Capitale is set to be a feisty affair after a blockbuster week between Rome’s top sides in the build-up to the game at the Stadio Olimpico.

Lazio were eliminated from the Conference League at the hands of AZ Alkmaar midweek, much to the amusement of Roma coach Jose Mourinho.

The Giallorossi on the other hand qualified for the last eight of the Europa League after coming off the back of a disappointing 4-3 home loss to Sassuolo, which saw Mourinho’s side slip out of the Serie A top four.

Lazio currently hold the advantage heading into the game, sitting in third place in the Serie A standing, although just two points clear of their bitter rivals.

Roma will be aiming to leapfrog the Biancocelesti and reclaim their place in the Champions League spots.

It was Sarri’s side who came out on top when the teams first met this season back in November, edging their way to a 1-0 victory in front of the Roma fans.

Felipe Anderson is expected to lead the line for Lazio, but Ciro Immobile is available and is expected to start on the bench. Matias Vecino is suspended.

Roma have Diego Llorente and Rick Karsdorp out. Either Gini Wijnaldum or Nemanja Matic will start in the middle of the park, while Abraham is favourite over Andrea Belotti.

Marash Kumbulla will begin serving his sentence after the straight red card he picked up in the recent loss to Sassuolo. José Mourinho is also suspended, serving the second of his two-match ban.

Rome derby: Probable line-ups

Lazio (4-3-3): Provedel; Hysaj, Casale, Romagnoli, Marusic; Milinkovic, Cataldi, Luis Alberto; Pedro, Felipe Anderson, Zaccagni.

Roma (3-4-2-1): Rui Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Ibanez; Zalewski, Cristante, Wijnaldum, Spinazzola; Dybala, Pellegrini; Abraham.
