Pre-match reports suggest that Paulo Fonseca is ready to drop both Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao from his Milan team, who are set to face Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday evening.

Two of the Rossoneri’s highest profile platters could be sat on the bench in the capital, with Filippo Terraciano in line for a start in the back-four, and Christian Pulisic out on the left-wing with Ruben Loftus-Cheek through the middle.

There could also be a full debut for recent Milan signing Youssouf Fofana, who came off the bench in the 2-1 loss against Parma last weekend. He is expected to play alongside Tijjani Reijnders in the midfield pivot.

Samuel Chukwueze could also return to the starting XI in a much-changed team, while Noah Okafor is expected to keep his place up front in the absence of Alvaro Morata, who misses out through injury.

Deadline day signing Tammy Abraham is also expected to be on the bench.

Lazio will be without Mario Gila and Luca Pellegrini, but otherwise, Marco Baroni has a full squad available to choose from.

New signings Nuno Tavares, Boulaye Dia and Loum Tchaouna are all in line for their first Serie A starts for the Biancocelesti in a team that could line up with a 4-2-3-1 with Dia playing off Taty Castellanos at no.9.

  1. My team AC Milan are a mess. The management and coach are an abomination! The management are incompetent and don’t even get me started on the owner. Redbird are soulless vultures who have taken a championship winning team and instead of taking it to the next level, they have instead sold Tonali and bought in mediocre players. I am pissed!
