Juventus made the most of poor Torino defending on two corners to win the Derby della Mole with Federico Gatti and Arkadiusz Milik goals.
The Bianconeri went into this clash without Federico Chiesa, Dusan Vlahovic, Alex Sandro or Mattia De Sciglio, while Milik was only fit for the bench and Paul Pogba failed a doping test. Toro weren’t doing much better, missing Alessandro Buongiorno, Mergim Vojvoda, Brandon Soppy, Koffi Djidji and Mihai Popa.
Moise Kean had the ball in the net after five minutes, but had wandered offside and it was disallowed.
Valentin Lazaro blasted over on the half-volley, while the Filip Kostic angled drive was wide of both the far post and teammate Kean.
Milik came on for the second half and immediately made an impact, as Juve had the ball in the net from another corner. It was chaotic, as Vanja Milinkovic-Savic flapped at it, Kean’s overhead kick was cleared off the line by Ricardo Rodriguez and Federico Gatti bundled over eventually while Bremer also got a knock to the head.
The offside flag was up, but after a very long VAR check to unpick all the various elements of that move, the Juventus goal was given.
Milik’s header into the ground from a Kostic cross was palmed over the bar by Milinkovic-Savic, but on the resulting Kostic corner the goalkeeper was again hesitant and allowed Milik a free header from five yards.
Gatti nodded another Kostic corner over, with Milinkovic-Savic again nowhere near it, while Duvan Zapata’s diving header and a Milik snapshot were dealt with.
Antonio Sanabria slightly shinned an acrobatic volley wide.
