Another inch-perfect Dusan Vlahovic free kick and Arkadiusz Milik’s first goal for the club allowed Juventus to get the better of Spezia.

The Bianconeri were feeling the pressure after back-to-back draws with Sampdoria and Roma, still missing Leonardo Bonucci, Paul Pogba, Federico Chiesa and Kaio Jorge. Angel Di Maria returned to the bench after a muscular strain, with Federico Gatti getting his Serie A debut. Spezia had Albin Ekdal suspended, Daniel Maldini, Kelvin Amian and Salva Ferrer carrying injuries.

Leandro Paredes was in the stands after completing his loan move with obligation to buy from Paris Saint-Germain.

Watch the highlights here.

Dusan Vlahovic broke the deadlock early against Roma with a perfect free kick into the near top corner and he provided the crowd with an exact replica here after nine minutes.

Emmanuel Gyasi had the ball in the net with a fine lob, but only after wandering well offside. Spezia continued to push, Gleison Bremer making a decisive interception on Holm’s cross for M’Bala Nzola, but on the resulting corner, Szczesny landed heavily on his ankle and had to be stretchered off.

Juan Cuadrado had penalty appeals waved away on the stroke of half-time, as he seemed to just run into Petko Hristov.

Fabio Miretti had his strike deflected for a corner, but Bartlomiej Dragowski had to claw a Vlahovic header off the line from a corner.

Angel Di Maria made his comeback from injury and sent Danilo clear on the counter, only for the Brazilian to blast off target.

Juventus did seal the scoreline in stoppages with substitute Arek Milik’s first goal for the club. Miretti turned a defender to burst down the right and rolled across, Milik controlled with his back to goal, spun Hristov in one movement and drilled in from 10 yards.

Juventus 2-0 Spezia

  1. Oh this is going to annoy a few. Let’s listen to the sound of silence…….

    ….
    ……

  2. 2 nil shouldn’t hide the fact we were terrible and have been for the last few games. It needs to improve as I can’t spend a season watching this garbage

  3. Cuadrado, Locatelli, Danilo and De Sciglio was horrible today.
Miretti, Rabiot, Bremer was the best.

  4. well done to spezia, they did close us down very well – took complete control of a 20mins spell in first half.

@many wise guys – agree with but you also missed out moise kean =horrible

  5. Dusan will soon earn his move to Real Madrid or a bigger club. There is no creativity and the fact that PhD Max was prowling the touchline, begging for the CALMAAA!!! 1-0, hold on for dear life sums it up. Shout out to Cafu for putting the ball into row z.

  6. There’s creativity through Miretti, Kostic and Di Maria. You didn’t watch the game so go back to CoD…the only place you can be a hero. The midfield is still dire with Rabiot and Locatelli but 3 points are 3 points. Hardly a problem at this stage of the season with new players being integrated.

  7. Fate are you high again?

What creativity. The team nearly got caught out after going ahead as per usual. There is no urgency to build on a lead and what if Gyasi had timed his run better? Against better opposition, the team will easily be exposed.

  8. Agree with @Steve. We need to see creativity not think that individuals possess it if they do not show it. With Allegri that is not going to happen as he has admitted he cares little about these things. That was obvious and a no brainer.

  9. Please give it a rest Fatecisognare. Lord may post, but at least he does it once per article and with wit. If you are that obsessed with him why not take a flight to America.
