Juventus gave debuts to their new signings, but saw their perfect record ended by a revamped Roma with surprise picks from Daniele De Rossi.

The Bianconeri had a perfect start to the campaign, winning both games 3-0, and had new signings Teun Koopmeiners, Nico Gonzalez, Francisco Conceicao and Pierre Kalulu on the bench, but Khephren Thuram, Tim Weah and Arkadiusz Milik were injured. It was a very different mood for Daniele De Rossi after one point from two rounds. Enzo Le Fée was sidelined and Chris Smalling on the verge of a Saudi move, but they surprisingly dropped Paulo Dybala and Leandro Paredes for deadline day signing Alexis Saelemaekers and 19-year-old Niccolò Pisilli.

See how it unfolded on the Liveblog.

Lorenzo Pellegrini’s curler from outside the box was deflected just wide, while Mile Svilar got a glove to the Dusan Vlahovic flick from Kenan Yildiz’s cross.

Artem Dovbyk had an effort charged down from close range, but it was a slow first half and Thiago Motta shook things up by giving Koopmeiners and Conceicao their Juventus debuts.

Vlahovic drilled wide between Evan Ndicka’s legs, so Roma unleashed Dybala in his old hunting ground along with debutant Manu Kone.

Francisco Conceicao cut inside and saw his low strike take a double deflection in the box, as Nico Gonzalez came on unusually as a centre-forward and just failed to get his head to a dangerous Juventus cross.

Angelino’s daisy-cutter from distance skimmed the far post, as the teams shared the spoils in Turin.

2 thought on “Serie A | Juventus 0-0 Roma: Stalemate suits nobody”
  1. A pretty boring game and u would think It’s still managed by Allegri.
U can’t play Loca and Fagioli together. DV9 is disappointing as always. Unless a top striker is introduced, the team is hopeless to win the title.
And definitely missing Thuram, who is the best signing so far.
