Simone Inzaghi will have to name another makeshift back three in the absence of Benjamin Pavard and Alessandro Bastoni when Inter take on Udinese at San Siro on Saturday afternoon.

Denzel Dumfries is also unlikely to start on Saturday, so Matteo Darmian is tipped to play at right-wing back. Carlos Augusto could be tested in the back three alongside Francesco Acerbi and Yann Bisseck, who could make just his fourth appearance in Serie A.

The attacking portion of the Nerazzurri line-up will be a more familiar set-up, with Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan set to keep their places. Marcus Thuram will partner Lautaro Martinez as usual.

Udinese, who drew 3-3 with Hellas Verona last Sunday, are expected to stick with their trusted 3-5-1-1 formation.

The only expected change is the return of Lorenzo Lucca, who bagged a brace off the bench last time out.

Kick-off is set for 19.45 UK time.

Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Carlos Augusto; Darmian, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Thuram, Martinez.

Udinese (3-5-1-1): Silvestri; Ferreira, Kabasele, Perez; Ebosele, Samardzic, Walace, Payero, Zemura; Pereyra; Lucca.
