The hosts had pelted Wojciech Szczesny with shots from Domenico Berardi and Gianluca Scamacca before a smart Berardi back-heel sent Raspadori through for the opener.

However, Alvaro Morata robbed Giorgos Kyriakopoulos – which Sassuolo thought was a foul – allowing Dybala to thump into the roof of the net with a strike clocked at 110km/h.

Andrea Consigli also made saves on Morata and Kean before the substitute turned Vlad Chiriches to nutmeg him for the winner.
