Spezia rode their luck – and they had plenty of it. Not sure if the ref’s mistake was that bad. He should have waited a few seconds longer before blowing but everything is happening so fast – he saw a foul and so he stopped play. It was lucky for Spezia but unlucky for Milan that the subsequent goal then didn’t count. But play had stopped so it couldn’t count.
