Watch as Inter have Edin Dzeko’s opener cancelled out by a late Paulo Dybala penalty, but should VAR have intervened?

Serie A | Inter 1-1 Juventus: Dybala pen decides Derby d’Italia

The deadlock was broken in the Derby d’Italia when Hakan Calhanoglu unleashed a rocket from distance that cannoned off the woodwork, Dzeko reacting quickly to turn in the rebound.

Juan Cuadrado drilled wide and Samir Handanovic parried a Dybala free kick, but in the final minute the referee was called by VAR to view a high Denzel Dumfries foot on Alex Sandro.

It’s debatable whether that was a ‘clear and obvious error,’ but Dybala sent Handanovic the wrong way to equalise from the spot.
