It was a great return to Marassi for Scamacca, who played for Genoa last season, as he found the net twice in the early stages on Domenico Berardi and Jeremy Toljan assists.
Destro steered a Mohamed Fares cross back into the far corner and there were numerous chances for both sides, including Filip Djuricic’s effort fingertipped onto the woodwork and a remarkable Scamacca miss.
In the final minute, Vasquez marked an ideal debut with a header from Nicolò Rovella’s corner.
