Serie A | Cagliari 1-2 Roma: Pellegrini inspirational

The Sardinians had already threatened when Raoul Bellanova’s ferocious finish from a tight angle hit the crossbar, then Alessio Cragno and the woodwork denied Tammy Abraham.

Matias Vina misjudged the Razvan Marin cross, allowing Pavoletti to turn in the opening goal.

This is where Pellegrini stepped up, first hitting the crossbar from point-blank range on Rick Karsdorp’s cross, then his corner found an Ibanez header into the ground.

Moments after another Pavoletti chance, the Roma captain turned it around completely with a wonderful free kick into the near top corner.
