Watch as Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta only pick up a point after an edgy draw with a solid Cremonese side.

La Dea were fired up heading into the match, keen to maintain their early momentum as they entered the weekend top of the Serie A table. Despite their energy and the lively atmosphere at the Gewiss Stadium, things did not go to plan for Atalanta, who only managed to secure a single point against the newly promoted side.

Neither side managed to break the deadlock in the first 45 minutes, but the second half was chock-full of action as both teams desperately worked to find an advantage. Atalanta’s initial opener was ruled off due to a Caleb Okoli handball after a Teun Koopmeiners free kick, but they eventually took the lead after Merih Demiral legally converted a header from another Koopmeiners ball.

Unfortunately for Gasperini and the home fans, their advantage didn’t last long as Juan Musso failed to parry a Santiago Ascacibar to safety, which allowed Emanuele Valeri to dart in and find the equaliser.
