Bologna, Lazio and Fiorentina all recorded wins in Saturday’s friendly action, but there were defeats for Cagliari, Parma and Sampdoria.

Bologna battled back from 2-1 down to beat Augsburg 3-2 and pick up their second successive victory over a German side.

The match was followed by Augsburg sportingly wishing Rossoblu boss Sinisa Mihajlovic all the best in his battle against leukaemia.

Lazio were similarly impressive, condeming Bundesliga new boys Paderborn to a 4-2 loss – just a day after they inflicted the same fate on Bournemouth.
