There were concerns that Serie A games would be given 10 different kick-off times per weekend, but it’s reported we’ll still have three matches simultaneously on a Sunday.

This will be the first season since the main local rights have gone to streaming service DAZN, leading to concerns they would try to spread the kick-offs out over 10 different times across the weekend.

However, DAZN and Sky Sport Italia have worked out a schedule that essentially retains the calendar we already recognise from 2020-21.

There will be games on Saturday at 15.00 local time, 18.00 and 20.45 – add one hour for UK time.

On Sunday, there’s again a match at 12.30, then three at 15.00, another at 18.00 and the evening game at 20.45.

The addition is a Monday evening fixture at 20.45.

The 2021-22 fixture list was drawn up yesterday for Serie A, and for the first time it is asymmetrical, so the second half of the season is not simply a mirror image of the first half.
