Mattia Perin was the hero for Juventus, saving a Luka Jovic penalty and late Sofyan Amrabat chance, after Christian Kouame cancelled out the Arek Milik opener.

The Bianconeri gave Arkadiusz Milik and new buy Leandro Paredes their first starts, but missed Wojciech Szczesny, Adrien Rabiot, Paul Pogba, Federico Chiesa and Kaio Jorge, with Dusan Vlahovic rested. The Viola failed to score in their last four games between Serie A and the Conference League, missing Giacomo Bonaventura on compassionate leave, injured Alfred Duncan and Gaetano Castrovilli.

Watch the highlights here.

Juventus took the lead with an unusual move, as Juan Cuadrado’s cross from the by-line found Filip Kostic for a volley that turned into an assist for Milik to bundle over the line from a couple of yards with his stomach. The striker had to crouch down to get the necessary deflection. It was the Poland international’s second goal in just 30 minutes on the pitch in a Bianconeri shirt.

Bremer made a decisive block on Youssef Maleh and Dodo stung Mattia Perin’s gloves, but Fiorentina got the equaliser on a counter-attack from the Juventus corner. Riccardo Sottil caught Di Maria napping and sent Christian Kouame sprinting away with Cuadrado, beating Perin at the near post.

Paredes was penalised using VAR for handball on a Sottil cross, but Perin made a fantastic fingertip save to push Jovic’s penalty onto the upright. It was the fourth Juventus penalty saved from the last seven awarded against them in Serie A.

Danilo charged down an Antonin Barak attempt from 12 yards, then did the same on a dangerous Dodo cross, during which the Juve man got his ankle caught under him.

Perin came to Juve’s rescue again in the final minutes with a fantastic fingertip save to push Sofyan Amrabat’s scorcher out from under the crossbar.

  1. 😂😂😂😂😂

A fine offensive performance for 90 minutes playing 5-4-1 penned in, lost all the fifty fifty balls and PhD Max, blazer off, begging for the CALMAAA!!! lol.

  2. NOT EVEN WITH NEYMAR MESSI AND BENZEMA
ALLEGRI WILL PLAY OFFENSIVE. FOOTBALL .. WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR TO GET ZIDANE???

  3. 10-0-0 incoming next Tuesday. Dusan and co will be playing in the 18 yard box defending offensively for 90 mins+ Paredes is already learning from the ex Dutchman. Tik Tok not shooting was genius. Loca thought he would be free to roam. Not with PhD Max. Back in the defence son.

  4. damn so painful to watch, makes me hate football and allegri, even commentator could not believe it as he was saying in disbelieve – is this 5-3-2? 😀 psg will lynch us on tuesday night, thanks god im at work

  5. Respect to Fiorentina for realising that they were up against the Buffalo Bills of Europe and credit to PhD Max for treating them like prime Barca.

  6. It will be remarkable if Allegri can get the team to win 2 games back to back with zero attempts on goal especially in the second half.

  7. If Mbappe played for Allegri he’d lose half his market value in 12 months. He’s a horrible tactician and needs to be replaced asap. Bring in Zidane to replace him.
