Ardian Ismajli, Lorenzo Tonelli, Alberto Grassi and Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro are not available for Empoli. Razvan Marin is not fully fit so Liam Henderson starts in the middle of the park. Destro also features in the starting XI after scoring his first goal in 15 games last week.

Monza are without the injured Luca Marrone, Marlon returns and starts over Armando Izzo. Christian Gytkjær and Gianluca Caprari get the nod up front with Mota Carvalho and Andrea Petagna on the bench.
