Cesare Prandelli says the course of the next Serie A championship for Inter, Milan, Napoli and Fiorentina will come down to their Coaches.

On from his take on Juventus and Roma, the Serie A veteran went on to discuss the remaining competitors for the Scudetto, starting from Milan.

“There's a new Coach, who handles the group differently,” he told Il Corriere della Sera.

“I'm not saying things are better or worse, just that it's all new.

“There's been a change of directions and I'm convinced that they can do well.

“While Milan changed their offence, Inter switched over their defence.

“But in the case of the Nerazzurri what makes the difference is the Coach.

“[Roberto] Mancini has wide experience and he's unlikely to misjudge players. Inter will be a protagonist in the championship.”

The former Azzurri head then discussed Napoli and their new Coach Maurizio Sarri.

“I'm the first of his many supporters. I know him, and he's a man of considerable human depth and balance.

“He went through all of the categories from the amateurs to Serie A.

“He has a strength that many others don't have, precisely because he started from nothing.

“I'm sure that he'll be able to achieve his objectives.”

Similarly, Prandelli believes that the focus when analysing Fiorentina should fall on their Coach.

“You can't judge them by the transfer market, which isn't finished anyway.

“Rather it's going to come down to the playing style that Paulo Sousa can provide, and from this point of view I'm optimistic for the Viola.

“If the team can work in harmony with their people, their support can provide an extra 10-15 points for certain.

“We'll see a different game from the one that [former Coach Vincenzo] Montella produced.

“But it's going to be an efficient style, among other things because the team is well-structured.”

Finally, the 57-year-old was asked who the surprise of the season would be.

Sassuolo. Two years ago they expressed the best football in Serie A.

“Last year that role fell to Empoli, but this year it could be the turn of the Emiliani again.

“The Azzurri? I hope that in the Euro cup in France we can do even better than we did in 2012, and that our young players return to prominence in Serie A.”
