Serie A players dominate the Poland squad named for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, including all three goalkeepers, plus Piotr Zielinski, Arkadiusz Milik and Krzysztof Piatek.

They are in Group C, so will open their campaign against Mexico on November 22, then face Saudi Arabia on November 26 before the showdown with Argentina on November 30.

There are in all 11 Serie A players called up, including all three goalkeepers, Bartlomiej Dragowski of Spezia, Bologna’s Lukasz Skorupski and Wojciech Szczesny at Juventus.

Sampdoria’s Bartosz Bereszynski, Benevento veteran Kamil Glik, Spezia’s Jakub Kiwior and Roma full-back Nicola Zalewski form the defence.

Napoli star Piotr Zielinski and Fiorentina’s Szymon Zurkowski represent Italy in the midfield, but two of the four strikers ply their trade in Serie A.

Arkadiusz Milik plays for Juventus and Krzysztof Piatek at Salernitana, joining Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski and Karol Swiderski of Charlotte FC.

However, Torino midfielder Karol Linetty is left out.
