According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus and Roma were the best Serie A clubs in the summer transfer window, while Spezia, Verona and Sampdoria were the worst.

The Bianconeri brought in many reinforcements such as Paul Pogba, Angel Di Maria, Gleison Bremer, Filip Kostic and Leandro Paredes and managed to offload most players no longer in Max Allegri’s plans, such as Arthur.

They had to go through the painful sale of Matthijs de Ligt, but replaced the Dutch defender with Bremer from Torino, the most expensive summer signing in Italy.

Roma didn’t invest much, just €7m for Zeki Celik from Lille, plus signing bonuses for other free agents such as Paulo Dybala and Nemanja Matic and more players who have joined the capital on loan: Gini Winjaldum and Mady Camara.

According to Gazzetta, Bianconeri and Giallorossi were the best clubs in Italy during the summer and were rated 8/10.

They are followed by Milan, Napoli and Torino (7.5) and Inter (7).

  1. Signing so many free agents and Lo.an deals rarely works as intended. I have serious doubts about Roma’s summer.
