Claudio Ranieri has made four changes to his Cagliari side ahead of his final game in charge of the club, while Vincenzo Italiano has rotated even further following on from Fiorentina’s 2-2 draw with Napoli last weekend.

Kick off between the two sides is due at 19.45 BST.

This will be the first game of the final round of Serie A fixtures for 2023-24, and the last representing Cagliari for Ranieri, who announced earlier this week, that he would be stepping down from his position at the end of the season, and that he would also be taking a step back from the world of football.

Though he has not officially retired, Ranieri is thought to only be available for national team positions. His career at club level, and in Serie A, is assumed to have come to an end.

For Thursday night’s game against Fiorentina, he has opted to take out Alessandro Dossena, Ibrahim Sulemana, Eldor Shomurodov and Gianluca Gaetano and bring in Adam Obert, Gabriele Zappa, Matteo Prati and Nicolas Viola instead.

Fiorentina, meanwhile, Luca Ranieri for Lucas Martinez Quatra, Rolando Mandragora in place of Arthur, while the front four is entirely changes, as Jonathan Ikone, Antonin Barak, Gaetano Castrovilli and Andrea Belotti come in for Nico Gonzalez, Lucas Beltran, Christian Kouame and M’bala Nzola.
