Last season brought the best seasonal average since 2010, and the positive trend is continuing this season.

That was helped by home games for Inter, Napoli and Juventus, which had the highest crowds of the weekend, not to mention the Derby della Lanterna between Genoa and Sampdoria.

Inter-Frosinone saw 63,645 at San Siro on Saturday night, with 44,408 attending Napoli-Chievo and 41,052 in Turin for Juventus-Spal.
An average of 30,000 fans hasn’t been reached in the past three seasons, and this is only the seventh time in the last 10 seasons that figure has been achieved.
Attendances also tend to be higher in the second half of the season, and Week 11 of the 2008-09 season was the last time attendances cracked a 30,000 average in the first half.
Crowds are up for the season as a whole, with an average of 25,448 so far compared to 24,634 last year and 21,415 in 2016-17.
Inter have the highest average attendance so far at 62,859 followed by their city rivals Milan with 54,393.
Roma come third with 40,162 and Juventus are in fourth on 39,699, though the Bianconeri’s stadium only holds 41,507.
Napoli, Fiorentina and Lazio also have average attendances above the 30,000 mark, while only Empoli’s is below 10,000.
