Check out today’s latest news from Serie A, including the updates on the ongoing racism row involving Inter veteran Francesco Acerbi and the honest interview of ex-Juventus striker Alvaro Morata.

La Gazzetta dello Sport provided an update on the Acerbi case, detailing how FIGC Prosecutor Giuseppe Chine plans to speak to both the Inter defender and Juan Jesus in the coming days in order to complete his investigation over the weekend.

The plan is for Sports Judge Gerardo Mastrandrea to return a verdict in the case at some point next week. Acerbi is at risk of being handed a 10-match ban, but it all depends on the results of Chine’s investigation.

Morata opened up in a long interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, taking the Milanese paper all about his possible return to Serie A last summer and Spain’s Euro 2024 group stage clash with Italy.

Marcus Thuram highlighted how he expects a ‘clear explanation’ from Acerbi in the ongoing racism row, calling all acts of racism ‘unacceptable’.

Exor head John Elkann and some Juventus directors are looking for a new main shirt sponsor in Saudi Arabia, taking advantage of the recent Grand Prix in order to strengthen their commercial ties in the country.

Tuttosport suggest that the Venezuelan FA are interested in trying to tempt Daniel Maldini to accept a call-up to La Vinotinto¸ trying to steal him away from Italy considering his lack of a debut with the Azzurri.

Junior Messias reflected on his two years with Milan, opening up about the difficulties, and he revealed that some Rossoneri fans sent him threats before he signed for the club in the summer of 2021.

The Rossoneri are keen to avoid letting rivals Inter lift the Scudetto with a Derby della Madonnina win next month, but there’s only two alternatives.
