Following this evening’s relegation and promotion play-offs, we now know the 20 teams that will play in Serie A for the 2023-24 season.
The campaign will run from August 20, 2023 to May 26, 2024.
There were still two slots to be filled in the top flight, which were decided when Hellas Verona beat Spezia 3-1 on neutral turf at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia to secure their place and send the Liguria side down.
Spezia therefore join Sampdoria and Cremonese in going down to Serie B.
In the promotion play-off, Cagliari snatched a last-gasp 1-0 victory over Bari at the Stadio San Nicola to win 2-1 on aggregate.
Claudio Ranieri’s men make the step up after just one year away, joining Frosinone and Genoa in Serie A.
