The Serie A 2022-23 fixture list will be drawn up on Friday morning, with the campaign kicking off on August 13 in a completely revamped structure.

The ceremony will be held on Friday June 24 starting at 11.00 UK time (10.00 GMT), but only Lega Serie A representatives will be present, not members of the 20 clubs.

It is going to be an unusual season, starting early on the weekend of August 13 and with a run of summer rounds building up to the break in November and December for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

This represents a big change, as Serie A generally kicks off at the end of August, then immediately takes a break for international duty in September.

Instead, it will have the last round of 2022 on November 13, then resume on January 4, 2023.

Like last season, the fixture list will be asymmetrical rather than the second half being a mirror image of the first set of games.

The algorithm will rule out midweek clashes between Milan, Inter, Napoli, Juventus, Lazio, Roma and Fiorentina, nor can there be local derbies.
