The opening round of the Serie A 2017-18 season has been drawn up, including InterFiorentina, Crotone-Milan, VeronaNapoli and AtalantaRoma.

Borja Valero faces his former teammates in the first weekend, while Verona-Napoli and Atalanta-Roma are among the highest-risk fixtures in Italy for crowd trouble.

There's also Roma v Inter in Week 2, so Luciano Spalletti's reunion and a very tough start for Eusebio Di Francesco's side.

The 2017-18 season gets underway on August 19-20, and will run until May 20, 2018; finishing early to give Italy time to prepare for the World Cup.

As the opening two rounds are in August, they will largely be played on the Sunday August 20 at 19.45 UK time.

Although there had been plans for games on Fridays and Mondays, it seems as if the regular week will continue in the same vein as last season.

That means two matches on Saturday (17.00 UK time and 19.45 UK time), then Sunday at 11.30 UK time, six at 14.00 and one at 19.45 UK time.

There will be midweek rounds on September 20, October 25 and April 18.

The Italian Super Cup between Juventus and Lazio is at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on August 13.
