“Unfortunately, an injury will keep me out for a while,” he wrote on his Instagram account. “The time scale can vary from one to three months and only time will tell, together with the doctor, what to do and how to act.
“One thing is for sure; I will be back as soon as possible and in the best possible shape!”
Parma are currently seventh in Serie A, only behind Cagliari on goal difference, as they continue their fight for a place in Europe against the Rossoblu on Saturday.
