Juventus and Sassuolo will combine to secure Cesena and Italy Under-21 international midfielder Stefano Sensi.
Multiple sources are confident the deal is done and will be completed next week.
Many clubs were tracking Sensi, including Palermo, Roma, Milan and Fiorentina.
Sassuolo seem set to win the race, working in synergy with Juventus so the Turin giants have an option on him in future.
The Neroverdi will pay €4m plus €0.3m at the fifth game and another €0.4m when Sensi makes his 21st appearance with the club.

If and when Sensi moves on to Juventus, Cesena would receive an extra €1.5m from the transfer.
Sensi would also remain at Cesena on loan for the rest of the current campaign and join Sassuolo in June.
If he were to make the move this month, the price-tag would rise from €4m to €5.5m.
