Stefano Sensi has joined the Italy national team camp despite an adductor injury that will keep him on the sidelines for at least ten days.

Sensi has been included in the provisional Italy squad for Euro 2020, but he will miss the first friendly against San Marino on Friday due to an adductor injury.

Italy’s training camp has begun in Sardinia today and Sensi has joined the team despite his physical issue.

Inter announced the player’s injury today.

“This morning, Stefano Sensi was examined at the Istituto Humanitas in Rozzano after coming off in the 39th minute against Udinese yesterday,” the official statement reads.

“The tests, which were performed in the presence of FC Internazionale Milano’s Medical Head, Professor Piero Volpi, and the FIGC’s Medical Head, Professor Andrea Ferretti, revealed that the midfielder has suffered an adductor injury in his right thigh.

“His condition will be reassessed in the coming days.”

According to Sky Sport Italia, Sensi will remain out of action for at least ten days and he is not expected to miss Euro 2020.

Manuel Lazzari won’t join the national team in Sardinia due to personal reasons.
