Edin Dzeko had put the Bosnians ahead in Florence, but Inter midfielder Sensi saw his finish deflected to equalise 10 minutes later.

“I am happy for my goal, but not with the result, as there are regrets at this draw,” Sensi told RAI Sport.

“We could’ve done better and be more determined, but it wasn’t easy getting back on track after 10 months apart. We knew that Bosnia would sit back and defend to hit us on the counter.

“It was difficult for us to find spaces and we moved the ball too slowly. Dzeko is a great forward, so at times we managed to get the ball off him, but we must improve the preventative marking on counter-attacks.”

The Nations League continues on Monday in Amsterdam against the Netherlands, who this evening beat Poland 1-0.
