“Eriksen can give us that little bit extra. He’s been a top player for years, now he’ll have to settle down.
“He joined us, we talk to him, he’s showing us his qualities on the pitch. He can lift us.”
Ahead of the Derby della Madonnina, Sensi admitted that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a threat to Antonio Conte’s side, but will treat the local derby as any other match.
“No fear, but you have to be careful. Ibra is a champion and his arrival at Milan has raised everyone’s concentration,” Sensi said. “We have enthusiasm, we prepare for this game like all the others. But it’s obvious that the derby is a particular match. You win with your heart and we will do our best.”
The midfielder was one of the key members during the first months of the season, but his start with the Nerazzurri has been haltered by injuries.
He revealed it’s not certain that he will be in the line-up against the Diavolo this weekend.
“I don’t know, you’ll have to ask the coach,” he said. “Maybe not from the first minute.
“I suffered because these injuries didn’t allow me to be with the team and my teammates.
“It’s a risk that comes with the trade. When these things happen, we must try to find something to change, we need to research the reasons.
“I am concentrated on the job; I spend all my time trying to heal.”
