Stefano Sensi is only a step away from joining Sampdoria on loan after agreeing to the move.

The 26-year-old Italian midfielder has hardly featured this season for Inter under coach Simone Inzaghi, playing only 169 minute across the league and Champions League. He has only started once this campaign, against Genoa in the season opener back in August.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Sensi has been linked with a loan move to Sampdoria heavily in recent days and now that transfer is on the verge of completion.

The major element missing was the Italian midfielder’s approval to the transfer, but that has arrived today and so now things will move fast as the deal is finalised. Sensi’s transfer will be a six-month dry loan deal, giving him a chance to show his best on the pitch in order to relaunch his career following a serious battle with injuries.

Last season, Sensi made 21 appearances across all competitions for Inter, for a total of 635 minutes. He only started four times under Antonio Conte last campaign.
