“I liked the approach today. I had told the lads to be united, we were aware we would face a strong team,” the coach told DAZN.

“We hoped we could take a good result home. We limited them and created a few chances. You can never lower your guard against these teams, but I saw desire and will to sacrifice. This spirit is important for the final part of the season.

“We put down a good performance. We had the right spirit, and we can gain survival if we keep having it.

“We need courage and to keep things simple. We also need that serenity that can help us do the right thing. We are sorry. We wanted to achieve something more.”
