There are reports in Italy that Achraf Hakimi is open to returning to Inter, so Football Italia asks Nerazzurri fans whether they’d sell Denzel Dumfries to bring back the Morocco international.

Hakimi’s message to Inter fans after Morocco’s win over Spain on Monday has quickly become a transfer rumour with today’s edition of Il Corriere Dello Sport suggesting the PSG star would be open to returning to the Stadio Meazza.

A deal with the Ligue 1 giants appears unlikely, but if there’s one way to make it happen for Inter, that would be by selling Dumfries, who has been followed by several Premier League clubs and is valued at €60m.

The Dutch defender joined Inter in 2021 for just €12.5m plus add-ons, replacing Hakimi who had joined PSG for €68m.

This alone explains why Hakimi’s return to Inter is quite difficult, but if you were Beppe Marotta and had a chance to bring him back by selling Dumfries, would you do it?

  1. Unrealistic, Hakimi costs more and earns more, and Inter need to sell Dumfries to balance the books, so they’ll rather get a hot prospective in the region of 10-20 m!
