The Dutchman is in his first coaching job following his decision to retire from playing in January but has been under intense pressure of late.
“Seedorf’s decision to put Bonera at right back has paid off in the last few matches,” Marcolin told SkySport24.
“Bonera thinks like a centre-back and he works better in the defensive unit.
“He doesn’t push forward too much, he stays back and gives more solidarity. It’s a wise move by Seedorf.
“But with Seedorf Milan chose the man first before the Coach. Now he needs time and he will need to make his errors on the job during the next year.
“He will gain experience and he will learn from where he goes wrong.”
