There are sensational reports in the Italian Press this morning that Clarence Seedorf could be set for a new job – at Inter.

The Dutch tactician took over from Massimiliano Allegri at Milan in January, but following a disappointing campaign in which the Rossoneri finished eighth, was swiftly sacked to be replaced by Pippo Inzaghi.

Corriere della Sera claim that the former midfielder has been so unhappy with his treatment on the red side of the city, that he is willing to listen to offers from the Nerazzurri.

The paper believes that new Inter owner Erick Thohir is not convinced by Walter Mazzarri, and a bad start to the new campaign would see him sacked.

The Indonesian businessman is thought to be open to the idea of speaking with Seedorf, but is wary that bringing over a Milan legend could alienate fans.

Board members Javier Zanetti and Pietro Ausilio are said to be laying the groundwork for a potential deal.
