Palermo’s announcement of new signings Francesco Di Mariano and Davide Bettella has caused some amusement amongst fans due to their easily misunderstood training kit sponsor.

The Rosanero’s training kits are sponsored by Neapolitan coffee producers Siag, whose stylised gold logo contains an ‘I’ that could be misinterpreted as an ‘L’. This design has therefore raised eyebrows amongst online observers, helping Palermo share their new signings in the process.

The Sicilian outfit were taken over by the City Group earlier this year, adding them to the same family as Manchester City, New York City and Troyes.
