Many fans suggested that Brazil star Neymar should’ve received a booking for his challenge on Croatia’s Marcelo Brozovic in their World Cup quarter-final clash.
The pair had been clashing throughout the match, with the Inter midfielder heavily pulling back the Paris Saint-Germain forward in the first half and being nutmegged on another occasion.
Clearly these on-pitch battles started to get to Neymar, who put in a heavy challenge in the 95th minute of the match on Brozovic, seemingly kicking his ankle whilst fighting for the ball. Many observers felt that the Brazilian should’ve been booked for this, but it went unpunished.
Neymar went on to score Brazil’s opening goal of the game just before the end of the first half of extra time.
