Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe shared a quiet moment with Federico Chiesa after the Juventus winger’s first taste of action since his cruciate ligament rupture.

The 25-year-old Italian forward suffered the anterior cruciate ligament injury during a win over Roma back in January, sidelining him for around 11 months. Chiesa was forced to watch Italy’s World Cup qualification failure and Juventus’ poor start to the season from home, a frustrating reality for the talismanic winger.

Chiesa made his first return to the pitch in Juventus’ 2-1 loss to PSG yesterday, playing 16 minutes of Champions League action. After the full time whistle, he shared an embrace with Mbappe and the pair had a brief chat before swapping shirts, showing great respect for one another.
