Romelu Lukaku posted an incredibly cryptic message to his Instagram this morning, leading some to suggest that it’s in reference to Chelsea’s tough 2-2 draw with Tottenham yesterday.
The 29-year-old Belgian forward’s Nerazzurri return got off to a flying start in the 2-1 win over Lecce on Saturday as the Chelsea loanee scored after less than 90 seconds. Lukaku certainly announced his Inter return in style, something that likely didn’t please his former Chelsea colleagues.
This morning, Lukaku posted a vague statement on his Instagram story which read: “When people can’t control you, they try to control how people view you.”
Some have suggested that the Belgian is referencing Chelsea’s difficult 2-2 draw with Tottenham yesterday and the scuffle between coaches Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte. Lukaku famously has a good relationship with the latter and things obviously went wrong last campaign with the former.
