Carlo Ancelotti was proud to work with the winners of this year’s Ballon d’Or, Karim Benzema, and Yachine Trophy, Thibaut Courtois.
The pair were the obvious choices for the awards after Real Madrid’s dominant campaign last season, when they won the La Liga title 13 points clear of runners up Barcelona and picked up their 14th Champions League.
Both Benzema and Courtois have shined under Ancelotti and the team are already gaining momentum for another impressive season.
Ancelotti posted photos of the pair receiving their awards, accompanied by the caption: “It is an honour to coach the best goalkeeper in the world and the Ballon d’Or. Congratulations to my friends Thibaut and Karim.”
