Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has suffered a muscle problem in the calf and will be out for at least two weeks.

The Partenopei have confirmed the instrumental examinations revealed a first-degree injury in the calf muscle of the right leg.

The Azzurri defender suffered the injury towards the end of the match against Cagliari, when the Rossoblu equalised in stoppages.

The Senegalese defender will thus be out for at least two weeks and will miss the games against Spezia, Udinese and Fiorentina.

Napoli hope he will be back for the last match against Hellas Verona, but it’s not certain he will recover in time.

The 29-year-old has played 26 times in Serie A this term, as he missed three games between December and January due to a muscle problem, before he was ruled out with coronavirus in February.
