Simone Scuffet’s agent will meet with Atletico Madrid today to negotiate a move to the Spanish champions.

The Udinese goalkeeper has been linked with the Colchoneros in the past, but Gazzetta dello Sport insist that talks later today could see the youngster sign for Diego Simeone’s men.

The paper believes that the Zebrette are holding out for €10m for the teenager, whilst Atleti want to pay €6m.

However, the sports daily claims that a deal can be reached, whilst the 18-year-old is desperate to go to Vicente Calderon.

The capital club have already tabled a contract offer to Scuffet, worth around €900,000, which he is happy to accept.

Now it is just up to the two clubs to agree a fee, but a move for the shot-stopper doesn’t seem to be too far away.

With Jan Oblak signing from Benfica however Scuffet will be loaned out for the 2014-15 season – potentially back to Udinese, or possibly to Granada.
