Ex-Fiorentina President Mario Sconcerti believes it would be wise to sell striker Mario Gomez before 'his value decreases'.
Fiorentina imposed themselves on Cesena with a 4-1 win on Sunday, but the German striker is still struggling to return to form.
Gomez has been dividing opinion in Florence, but Sconcerti is of the firm belief that the player should be sold.
“There are some players I'd put on the market, for instance Gomez,” he said in the show Terzo Tempo.

“I'd try selling him right away, but the problem is who might take him.
“He can probably still find someone to acquire him, but if he keeps on playing like this, he could get to June having decreased in value.”
As for the transfer market in general, the ex-President believes it should come down to Coach Vincenzo Montella.
“If I were one of the Fiorentina directors I wouldn't buy anyone.
“But if I had to buy then I'd listen to Montella, because the club purchased so many players, but the ones who play are always the same.
“A player like [Sebastian] Giovinco could be useful. Some final decisions need to be taken.”
