Brazil Coach Luis Felipe Scolari admits he would rather his team not be facing Chile in the World Cup Last 16.

The two South American rivals will meet after Brazil won Group A and Chile finished as Group B runners-up and the tactician believes Jorge Sampaoli’s side will be difficult opponents.

“Many thought Chile wouldn’t qualify but it didn’t go like that," Scolari said after tonight's victory against Cameroon. "They have a lot of qualities, I would have preferred to play against someone else.

“It’s more difficult to play another South American team. Chile have quality and organisation.”

Scolari was also asked whether his team are too reliant on Neymar.

“Argentina depend on Messi. It happens with the big teams, what I like is that Neymar is involved a lot.”
