Heerenveen have officially announced the arrival of Lasse Schone, who has been a free agent since he left Genoa this winter.
Schone arrived at Genoa from Ajax in August 2019 and played 34 times for the Rossoblu, helping the Grifone stay up under Davide Nicola last term.
He had been linked with a move to Cagliari, who are currently in the relegation zone in Serie A.
The midfielder was without a club after the transfer market closed but he was training with Ajax.

The 34-year-old Dane returns to Heerenveen, where he spent four years in the youth setup before moving to De Graafschap in 2006.
He has signed a deal until June 2021 with the Dutch side.
