Patrik Schick is expected to complete his transfer to RB Leipzig over the next 24 hours, with Nikola Kalinic coming to Roma from Atletico Madrid.

According to Sky Sport Italia, La Gazzetta dello Sport and more, Schick and his representatives have finally agreed personal terms with RB Leipzig.

The Bundesliga outfit will pay him €2.8m per season and give Roma €5m for the one-season loan.

There is an option to buy for a further €20m, but that could become an obligatory clause if certain conditions are met, for example on competitive appearances.

Roma paid €14m plus bonuses to get Schick from Sampdoria in the summer of 2017, but injuries, poor form and a crippling lack of confidence meant he never delivered.

Meanwhile, if the Giallorossi do send Schick to Germany, they will replace him with Kalinic.

The former Fiorentina and Milan striker is surplus to requirements at Atletico Madrid and wants a return to Serie A.

It’s reported this will be a loan with option to buy for €10m.

Roma will pay the Croatia international’s salary during the loan spell, which stands at an impressive €2.5m.
