Schalke are reportedly preparing a late move for Torino forward Adem Ljajic.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, ‘the path has now opened’ for Ljajic to join Schalke after meeting with his agent on Monday and interest from Turkish sides Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor.
However, the newspaper explains the Germans will wait until the last few days of the transfer window to thrash out a deal.
The 26-year-old scored six goals and assisted 10 for Toro last season but seems ready to be discarded on the grounds of his inconsistency.
