Milan are top of Serie A with 20 points from eight games and the President admitted the hierarchy at the Diavolo are delighted with the return so far in 2020-21.

He added that technical director Maldini’s learns quickly and claimed the Rossoneri can look ahead ‘with great optimism’.
“He too had to learn, no one is born a manager,” the President added. “Then, of course, he knows everything about football.
“The learning process was quick. An important balance was found, we can look to the future with great optimism.”
Milan continue against LOSC Lille in the Europa League on Thursday, before playing Fiorentina in Serie A this weekend.
