The city rivals agree San Siro must be replaced with a more modern venue and recently unveiled their plans, which Scaroni believes are crucial for the European ambitions of both Milan and Inter.

The city rivals agree San Siro must be replaced with a more modern venue and recently unveiled their plans, which Scaroni believes are crucial for the European ambitions of both Milan and Inter.
“We’ve followed the directives of Milan city council and, for this reason, it’s a victory for them,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“This city will have the most beautiful stadium in the world and a sports-commercial area where San Siro is that can be enjoyed all year round.
“In addition, there will be very low building indices compared to other projects such as Porta Nuova.
“We’re in a hurry to equip our clubs with a stadium suitable for these current times.
“We can’t have dreams about Europe without playing in a modern stadium. That’s why we’ve reduced the size [of the project].”
