The deal is believed to be worth €35m plus €2-3m bonuses, and Sky Sport Italia claim there will not be a player included, as instead the cash will be handed over in one lump sum.

That solution also reduces the bonuses from €5m to €2-3m.

He is expected in Milan tonight, to undergo a medical tomorrow, then sign a five-year contract worth €2m per season.

Alen Halilovic was removed from the equation over the last few days, but La Gazzetta dello Sport and Sportitalia note that Andrea Bertolacci is back on the table.

The former Genoa midfielder had turned down a move, as his contract with the Rossoneri is due to expire in June anyway.

As soon as Piatek is secured, Milan can release Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea, via Juventus.
